Your VIP Club welcomes La Cantesse Hotel Restaurant. Located next to the entrance to Los Frailes, La Cantesse is a great alternative for folks living in that area who don't wish to venture into town. Open early for breakfast, 7:30, 7/365 and open 'til 11 p.m. Full Mexican faire menu. VIP Club members may take 15% off their bill when paying cash and 10% with credit card, with a minimum bill of $100 pesos.

News from Berlin is, not only will Berlin be open for Christmas & New Year's Eve and Day, with its everyday and everyday price menu, members might want to Google around 20th Dec. : New York Times, travel, 36 hours, San Miguel and read up on what the new York Times had to print and show about Berlin Bar here in San Miguel.

Many VIP Club restaurants have special menus for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's. As they come into us we will print them in newsflashes between now and the holidays in mention.

The Restaurant, Sollano #16, Christmas Eve menu: Amusb Buche: Brandy turkey liver crostini with bacon apples and pickled shallots. First Course: Beet, fennel and jicama salad with macadamia nut dressing Or Cumin scented albondigis soup with zucchini jalapeno, lim e and cilantro. Main Course: Roasted turkey in hazel nut mole with poblano and goat cheese tamales served with black beans, red rice rimbale, stone ground corn tortilla and salsa. Dessert: "Capirotada" Mexican bread pudding with raisin walnuts and piloncillo syrup Or Pastel tres leches. Cost $495 per.154-7877, for reservations.

Harry's New Orleans and Cafe Oyster Bar Christmas, four course menu: Mushroom tart with Dark mayonnaise pumpkin cream; three separate entree options: Andouille Stuffed turkey with gravy $270; Roasted pork leg with orange marinade $260; Wellington Beef Filet with port Sauce $295. Side options: garlic mashed pototoes, Baked rice with bell peppers or glazed mixed vegetables. Dessert: Apple strudel with Hazelnut ice cream. (Harry's everyday menu will also be available along with free valet parking.)

La Puertecita Hotel Restaurant, Santo Domingo #75, 152-5011 Christmas Menu: Sea scallops on a bed or lettuce and cremini mushroom sauteed with olive oil and balsamic vinegar-Christmas salad with escarole lettuce and spinach with sherry dressing or Cream of corn soup with huitlacoche-Traditional turkey with almond sauce, walnuts and pistachio with mashed potatoes, yams and cranberry jelly or Salmon fillet marinated in achiote with citrus sauce and coriander garnished with Arborio rice pesto style and sauteed vegetables with sesame seeds.--Yuletide log cake or apple pie with vanilla ice cream $400 pesos + 15% gratity.

Harry's Cafe and Oyster Bar's Christmas gift to the community is by providing to all, a free Bullfight, Monday, December 28, at high Noon, at The Plaza de Toros. We should say this is a "Tienta" the bulls in this exhibition will NOT BE KILLED by the bullfighters. Yet this is a warm up for the main event, Thursday December 31, at 4 p.m. when a full fledged bullfight will take place partially sponsored by Harry's! Admission $150 pesos.

Instituto Allende Arts and Crafts Fair Saturday and Sunday, December 26-27 10 - 6 p.m.
