Each February Your VIP Club teams up with Biblioteca Publica in a drive to help increase library memberships. For the month of February, buy a VIP Club Card at the library for the standard 550 pesos and Your Club will buy you a library card good for a full year, a 120-peso value. For some of you who may have let your club card expire, here's a great way to get back into the club and help your community. Open to San Miguel residents. Take 2 copies or passport or Drivers license and a utility bill (utility bill doesn't have to be in your name but at your residence.)

Your Club welcomes BeWellSanMiguel Patient Advocacy Services by Deborah Bickel, Pa MPH. Deborah, a health care professional and totally bilingual stands ready to assist patients in various ways. Rather it be assisting at home care, arranging appointments with the proper caregivers or being on hand when people need to be hospitalized, Deborah knows the procedures and time frames. Hank's New Orleans Cafe and Oyster Bar kicks off their annual Mardi Gras celebration Friday February 13. Members, Myrl D'Arcy and Rachael Satterfield, act as the royals reigning over party goers, for this year's bombastic celebration. Special drinks and dishes everyday! The San Miguel Writers Conference Artisans Marketplace and Bookstore are open to the public from Wednesday, February 11th to Sunday, February 15th, all day. You do not need a ticket to visit this area of the Conference. The Marketplace features over 13 premier artisans from Oaxaca weavers with rare purple dye huipiles to Patzcuaro silver jeweler to local bookmakers, photographers and clothing by Abrazos Boutique, where you can get your VIP discount with cash. The musical journey, ranging from strictly written pieces to all-out improvisation, will include Beatles, Brahms, Chopin, Jobim and spontaneous creations inspired by suggestions from you, the audience. Interpretations of magnificent images by SMA artists Hope Palmer and Dirk Bakkar will also be featured. And a surprise guest, who will truly “Break Down the Walls!" Tickets go on sale at Solutions (Recreo), La Conexion (Aldama) and Los Milagros restaurant on Reloj. All seats 250p.
