Before the end month of February: Your Club, in another effort to increase local library membership and promote reading, has a great deal. Buy or renew your VIP Club membership at Biblioteca Publica during the month of February, paying standard club fee of $500 pesos for a year, and YOUR Club will treat you to a library card, an 80-peso value to residents or $100 peso value for visitors. You must show photo ID and proof of residency. All cards purchased at the library will be valid until 28 Feb 2011.

YOU MUST SIGN UP AT THE LIBRARY since our regular outlets WILL NOT honor this deal. Also, if any member wants to take advantage of such and are currently holding a card that may not expire until later in the year, buy your new card at the Library and we will exchange your card, so members can have a free library card and they get a full year's worth of VIP Savings! Members you must have copies of your F-3, passport and proof of residency a copy some sort of utility bill for the library to issue you a library card.

VIP Club newer participating restaurant Tex-Mex on Prolongacion Pila Seca has been closed since the street out front has been dug up, and it makes it very difficult to enter. We will announce when the Tex-Mex reopens.

Many members are taking advantage of earning a free-shuttle ride to the Leon Airport with VIP Club sponsor Viajes San Miguel. Go to our webpage and read the easy to follow instructions. Remember, you personally do not have to take the trip, if you book, in your name, for another, you get the credit. Use Viajes five times, on any of their travel services and the VIP Club and Viajes Travel offers you a free ride to or from the Leon airport.

We received this notice from Arthur Murray Dance Studio here in town, a VIP Club participating establishment. . . . Lou, VIP Club members who are new students to Arthur Murray San Miguel are entitled to one free private lesson, one free group class, and free admission to one of their bombastic parties, plus 10% off first enrollment. Jose Luis, owner operator of Manantial Cantina, up on Baranca, a VIP Club participating restaurant, says he hasn't seen that many VIP Club members presenting cards, reviews on his seafood are excellent. We figure, he is so inexpensive our members may not want to take the discount. Go ahead, pay full ticket, but show Jose Luis you are a member and maybe you are ther becaude of the good publicity.

Not VIP Club related but any of you who might like to play and participate and play against local March Madness basketball jonesers, in my, The Commissioner's 13th or 14th March Madness Bracket Tournament here in San Miguel, determining the NCAA College Basketball Champion for 2010, get back to this email address and I will place you on the invite list and send you the rules when the time is near. The tournament is made up of locals here in San Miguel with all monies going directly back to the winners and is totally transparent. If you're confused by this message, I can tell you, you don't want to be in the tournament.

We will be adding two new hotels, out of town to the VIP Club shortly. The final details have not been worked out but we are close.
