The workshops take place on Mondays-Tuesdays from 10am-3pm both days.
Day one, learn how to use all the equipment and materials and begin your art piece.
Day two, with hands on guidance and assistance from the Van Dorens, you will continue to create your own work of art to take home when you leave the workshop.
Beginners are not only welcome, but encouraged. All that is required is the desire to learn.
Cost for the workshop is only $145.00 U.S. per day, which includes all materials metal and otherwise, 2 full day course sessions, a locally sourced organic lunch with wine for both days of the class, and an embroidered shop apron to use in class and take home.
We are also creating special shows featuring student artwork at our gallery Van Doren Studio Showroom located in Fabrica Aurora.

Despite huge price increases for fuel that BajioGo, for the moment will not raise prices on airport shuttle service prices to Leon and Queretaro. About the American and Canadian dollar verses the peso. Both currencies have sky-rocketed. Mexico buys food stuffs, ingredients, parts and incredible amounts of products from the U.S. Prices are going to have to increase. Your card has never been more valuable.

Don't run out of propane. Providencia Gas offers 55 centavos off each litro of gas to Card members. (minimum of 1000 pesos worth.) Members can employ credit cards and still get the discount. Longtime VIP Club member Dick Avery has recently penned a new book. After publishing four historical novels about World War II, Avery has ventured into crime fiction. Set in Dallas, TX, it chronicles the search for a serial killer who takes nothing and leaves nothing behind except two bullet holes in each victim.  Harry Calhoun, a private investigator with a fondness for scotch, has been tasked with figuring out “whodunit.”  Check it out . . .

Each February Your VIP Club teams up with Biblioteca Publica orchestrating a drive to
help increase library membership. For the month of February, buy a VIP Club
Card at the library for the standard 700 pesos and Your Club will buy you a
new library card good for a full year, a 120-peso value.
For some of you who may
have let your club card expire, here's a great way to get back plus help your community. Open to San Miguel residents. Take 2 copies of passport or Drivers license and a utility bill (utility bill doesn't have to
 be in your name but at your residence.) Cards will be sol in the tienda.

Your local Mid-day Rotary once again hosts a fabulous Super Bowl Party, Sunday, February 5 at Restaurante Baile, Salida de Celaya #59, 154-9975. Doors open at 4:00 pm. 5:20 Kick-Off! Mid-day Rotary does yeoman work in the community. Their present focus is to end Polio with project aimed at water purification and more. 300 pesos.
