Your Club heard from Providencia Gas, a VIP Club participating business. Lorenzo, the district supervisor, wants to sincerely thank the entire membership enabling Providencia to get a firm foothold in San Miguel. VIP Club members have made up the bulk of their home-delivery business here. He also reported that they will soon have two, tank-filling trucks cruising town and that Providencia also now have various sized cylinder delivery service on a separate truck.

Propane gas prices are fixed by the federal government. They've been jutting higher since Your Club went into the "instant cash rebate agreement" with Providencia last Spring. Gas was set at 5.61 per liter when we went into the agreement and the government has now increased it to 6.11 and is likely to inch up squeezing the gross profit from the gas provider.

Providencia will continue to give VIP Club members a "substantial instant cash rebate." To avoid future problems the now instant cash rebate will be 40 centavos per liter with purchase of 1000 pesos worth of gas (same as before), or a minimum 160 liters. All-and-all members purchasing 1000 pesos worth of Providencia's gas will receive about 5 pesos less than beforehand. Members were receiving a rebate of 70 pesos off per 1000. With the 40 centavos off a liter the rebate is now about 65 pesos. With the great service, honesty and the continued cash back rebate this still is a great deal; savings that more than likely pays for VIP Club dues. Read VIP club members comments on the " comment page" about Providencia's service. Do remember, you must show the card and drivers are instructed to see them prior to dispensing the rebate.

As for Safety, Providencia is working closely with San Miguel's fire department in order to double check for leaky tanks. This is a free service.

For those who were receiving mail at Border Crossings, do know they received a late load of mail from the 9902 Crystal Court address. Solutions, who took over the location, has the said mail and the mail can be picked up.
