It's been a tumultuous time for many of us and many businesses in San Miguel recently. Your Club regrets to report that Longhorn Smoke House is no more! We equally regret reporting Los Faroles is no more. Number 43 Deli has closed its doors and working on moving to a new location!

We wish our old buddy Keith Thompson nothing but the best and hope he doesn't become a stranger! Thank you Keith for being a light in that darkness and so generous for so many. At the same time you can't find a nicer guy than Ignacio Marrujo, from Los Faroles, however Ignacio will be able to cater and duplicate his great BBQ meats by calling 415-149-6450. Kyle and Eric Hernandez will shortly be back open with their deli. Thank you all for your great contribution to our fine Club and our fine town.

Please consider joining Biblioteca Publica! If the entire expat community joined that would cover all their immediate expenses. Even if you don't read it's any easy way to be part of an expat community that supports education in San Miguel. Enlightened people realize the only way out of the world's mess is through educatioon!

Our close San Miguel community recently lost who can be perhaps best described as someone who exemplified the very best of what San Miguel is all about: Maria Teresa Frazee! A fitting pot-luck memorial will take place this Sunday, January 18th, at 2 pm. at the home of Roger and Roseana Jones, Faroles #3, Atascadero.
