     Your VIP Club welcomes DRAGON, Salida a Celaya #71, 185-8686-or 8687, open seven days a week, Noon 'til 9 p.m. Dragon specializes in Chinese food. Dragon's menu is extensive and carries all your favorite Chinese dishes. There is free and ample off road parking, exclusively for Dragon customers just down from the restaurant. They also offer free delivery. Dragon now offers VIP Club members 10% off food and drink, in restaurant dining or take out. For now NO discount for home delivery. Also, Wednesdays and Fridays are BYOB days. No corkage fee . . . yet Jose Luis asks patrons to remember their waiters.

     Flu season is coming. We love our members being healthy. Flu shots go for $400 pesos at most places around town. Yet a Chelo's Farmacia, VIP Club participating establishment, corner of Canal and Hernandez Macias, now offers exclusively to VIP Club members this season's flu shot for $362. Go in anytime, get your shot and show your card.

    Bunky, do you jones for more reading material in English, or French or for some other language publications not available in San Miguel? Do you breeze through the Atencion and miss those fine essays that used to be there? Do you wish you could read Spanish but can't? Those days can be over forever.     VIP Club member Sabrina has moved her schmaltzy store, "7th Heaven" from its long time Sollano locaion and is now stationed at Pila Seca #1, off the corner of Hernandez Macias and Cuadrante. Seventh Heaven has an abundant inventory of both men and women's clothing jewelry and accessories. For the grand opening, 7th Heaven, until December 15th, will give VIP Club members 20% off for cash and 15% for credit, off store marked merchandise! Think about some of the holiday shopping you might have to do!

     This Sunday, at one p.m. at Cielito Lindo, out at the assisted living facility at Los Labradores on the road toward Dolores Hidalgo, is hosting a special Jazz concert. This is a benefit for our friend Don Clay to help defray some of his mounting medical expenses. Twenty-five percent of the take (gross sales) will go directly into Don's medical account. Beat Kaestli and The Gabriel Hernandez Trio headline. If you like professional Jazz you'll love these guys. Cost of the event is $250 pesos. Free bus transportation will be provided from St. Paul's on Sunday at Noon and will return concert goers to town afterward. Your Club beats the drum hard all the time to help Don 'cause he's our kind of guy. Thank you from Don and all of us who try and help support him.

     VIP participating restaurant, Buen Cafe, Jesus #36, in what has become a fine tradition, will be offering  a scrumptious Thanksgiving Feast, (buffet style) come Thanksgiving Day, November 25th. Anyone who knows Kris Rudolph and has been fortunate enough to taste her tasty cuisine over the years knows that Kris goes all out for Thanksgiving.      VIP Club participating restaurant El Rincon de la Malinche, Acuna de Allende, #10, is fast becoming San Miguel's night-time entertainment center for music and dancing! Here are a couple of hot and sizzling events on the near horizon. Bluesman, Jimmy Dillon returns to San Miguel to headline at La Malinche starting Thursday, November 17 and will perform each night with noted Blues musicians Rick Shlosser and Antonio Lozoya and our own recently returned Doug Robinson. They will be jamming into the late night, but Sunday, November 21th there's a special Sunday afternoon jam. Now hold on, cause come Thanksgiving weekend, also at La Malinche, returning because of popular demand, is Austin's Kristi Johnson and her ZZ Top, by way of Memphis, Soul Band who will rock the house beginning Wednesday November 24 (Thanksgiving weekend) through Sunday, November 28th. Kristi, a Pittsburgh native, has been mesmerizing audiences up in Austin. She's and her band are considered a "don't miss" act!" La Malinche fine dining upstairs and entertainment center downstairs open late.

     VIP Club participating restaurant, Mezzanine Bistro, Acuna Allende #11, AKA Bobo's has extended its hours due to popular demand. Lunch Tuesday through Saturday, Noon 'til 5 p.m and dinner Thursday - Saturday, 7 p.m. 'til 10 p.m. The food's a taste treat and unique in many ways. 

     A couple of VIP Club restaurants that might seem a little off the radar we want our membership to consider trying are: La Toscana, fine Italian, corner of Hernandez Macias and Umaran. For other participating Italian restaurants in your club are Bacco, Vivoli and Antigua Trattatoria Roma, they're all good and take the card. Try Casa Blanca, Hidalgo #34 for great crepes . . .  as does VIP participating restaurant Le Crepe on Hospicio! They too take Your Club's Card.

     For a great and reasonable brunch BOTH Saturdays and Sundays 10-2 p.m. don't forget Harry's New Orleans Cafe and Oyster Bar great selection of brunch items with many extras. Then each Tuesday is Taco Bell tacos at Harry's along with Harry's diversified menu. Wednesdays is martini day, Thursdays, Hurricanes. There's always something happening at Harry's!

     Do you have a yearning for home style German food? Don't forget Berlin, Umaran #19, now open for lunch. Plus: Go to Cuba at the end of the month, with owners Detlev and Dagmar. They'll show you the ropes and your way around old Havana. They have a very reasonable trip in store for VIP Club members.      Our buddy, Keith Thompson, at Longhorn Smokehouse, continues to crank out melt in your mouth brisket and pulled pork and yummy ribs. Thursdays are steak night with a great value, Wednesdays are Romanos night and there's Saturday rib-eye night.

     Long time VIP Club participating restaurant Dila's has decided not to renew their contract with the Club. We sincerely wish Dila and his crew only the best and thank them for their generosity in the past.
