For almost 20 years BERLIN BAR & BISTRO has stemmed the tide against San Miguel’s radical changes as the town has evolved into a tourist Mecca. The Rathskeller’s menu holds true to its traditional old-country reputation serving those dishes while having other delicious and generous offerings adhering to the palates of sanmigulenses.
Most weekday evenings there’s an in-place tasty special mostly dictated by popular demand. BERLIN is a favorite of old and new expats, along with tourists who have been told beforehand, “You must . . .” yet our Mexican hosts have also sought out Berlin as an affordable European eating experience with a certain ambience right here in San Miguel.

(Businesses or individuals can sponsor a VIP Club Newsflash – over 2000 are sent out locally cost 2500 pesos.)
Greetings:
Frequent readers of the VIP Club Newsflash are coming to realize flashes are often being published more than just once a month. Your Club is attempting to shine additional light on our robust line-up of participating restaurants and also bring to your attention other businesses and services accepting the card.
It’s not the first time I’ve told this story but once again overheard in a local gym with someone making an inquiry with one of the town’s most popular trainers.
They were told $50 USD a session, the trainer saying it was their standard rate! The inquierer signed up. Now I can tell ya, you could have a session, do 100 push-ups, o 100 sit-ups, run to Comonfort and back, on a treadmill, and when you return home and get on the scale it’s unlikely you would have lost a pound.
That very day, you could have purchased a VIP Club Card for about the same price of the gym session mentioned, then taken your sweetie to lunch at one of our fine VIP Club restaurants have a couple of wines, and get a bill for about 1500 pesos and you could have already saved with the VIP Club discount $225 pesos on day one of your membership.
Just think you would have 364 days to use the card without ponying up more money, and o it even more than just once a day. What we’re saying here, the card begins paying off immediately! Think about it.
We continue to harp: “WHY PAY TOURISTS TOWN PRICES WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE TO WHEN PRESENTING A VIP CLUB CARD?”
Let’s get rocking!

At SolTribe Cuisine, the inspiration for our unique gastronomy comes from the aether and from the earth. It comes from our veneration of fire, water and air as applied to the culinary process.
Sourcing local, organic, and sustainable
ingredients and products whenever possible, our mission is clear; to prove that plant-based,
clean foods are powerfully delicious and sublimely satisfying.
We pay a high premium for using such quality ingredients, and our methods are founded in deliberate complexity, because integrity in food, is integrity in life.
We choose this because for us, the magic is in passionate service and we are proud to be in service to life through food. We chop, tear, mix and blend with our own hands because we take pride in making things from scratch.
You’ll find no preservatives, GMO’s, or processed foods in what we create in the kitchen. Cooking for us is an experience in imagination and creation, where we strive to use all things root to fruit, to forge inspired nourishment.
The above statement says it all yet our take is that plant based nutritional drinks and meals are being designed to look and taste like many of the other foods we love yet totally vegetarian.
