The countdown has begun for the big BajioGo 16th Anniversary shared shuttle coupon book sale! Just a month away now, VIP Members will be able to purchase 10 coupons for only $150 USD or peso equivalent (cash only). That’s a 50% savings off their normal shared shuttle rate of $30 USD each way! Remember, these coupons are transferable and never expire. If you will not be in town for the sale on September 2nd and still wish to participate, you may send a “pinch-hitter.” They don’t need to be in possession of your card on the day of the sale as long as you provide us the following information by August 31 (via email to info@vipsanmiguel.com): your name, your card number and expiration date, and the full name of the person purchasing the coupon book for you.

In case you missed the announcement on Facebook, we have a new map! This one features ALL VIP participating businesses (that have a physical address). Click here to see it in our website: https://vipsanmiguel.com/complete-map/

Or if you click the following link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gWWhnk7h2uwu6DvT9 it will open it in Google Maps. On your computer screen, if you click on a pin it will show the name of that business. If the map legend on the left side disappears, simply click the left-facing arrow in the search bar and it will reappear. On an android phone, you will be able to click “view map legend” to see the full line-up with their color-coded pins. If the next time you open Maps, our map appears and you want to close it, just click the circle with the diamond shape at the top right, then click where it says “All VIP Club Businesses” at the bottom of your screen, and voila, our pins will disappear. On an iphone, you should just be able to easily close the map by clicking on the X.

Now “let’s get rockin’!”

Your Club welcomes Lebasi Restaurant, located in Hotel La Casona at the corner of Salida a Celaya and Josefina Orozco. Their menu is inspired by the rich cuisine of the northern region of the country, highlighting authentic Mexican flavors. Offering fresh local ingredients, they provide warm service in a casual and comfortable setting.

Karla, the manager, is very excited to be working with us and is generously offering VIP Club Members a 20% cash and 15% credit card discount off their regular menu items. In addition, they are offering VIP Club exclusive specials, such as 2 for 1 Cervecería Allende beers on Wednesdays, a free margarita with the purchase of $350 pesos worth of food (2 free margaritas if you spend $550) on Thursdays, and a full breakfast of fruit or juice, chilaquiles and eggs, bread, and unlimited coffee refills for only $180 pesos every day!

They also have a beautiful covered event space on the roof (there’s an elevator to get up there) with breathtaking views of San Miguel. Contact them directly at eventos@hoteldelacasona.com for special rental rates exclusively for VIP Members.

Your Club also welcomes Mama Mia, a beloved restaurant known for its vibrant atmosphere. Offering a delightful menu of Italian, Mexican, and international dishes, Mama Mia is an institution that has been serving San Miguel for decades. In the front part of the Centro location at Hernández Macías 91 there is a coffee shop, but it’s not just any coffee shop. They offer their own brand of coffee called Flor de Altura. The coffee beans are grown by small producers in Chiapas, Puebla and Veracruz, and the team at Mama Mia roast the beans right there in the shop in small batches of under 3 kilos. The VIP discount is 10% cash or credit at the café or at the store.

And if you’re looking for a beautiful day in the country, head out to Mama Mia Campestre located in Atotonilco. Set amidst green areas with outdoor seating and even a gazebo set on a pond, this rustic yet elegant venue features a menu that blends traditional Mexican flavors and their famous pizzas. Also, for the parents or grandparents out there, it’s a great place for kids to run around. It is an ideal spot for both casual gatherings and special occasions. The VIP Club discount is 10% cash or credit.

Mama Mia also makes Hechicera artisanal beer that they brew out at their Mama Mia Campestre location. You can try it either out in the country or in their cool tavern style tap room right downtown on Hernández Macías.

El Puerto Seafood is now open for breakfast at their new(ish) Canal 94 location, featuring Verecruzano style dishes and the traditional “Lechero servido en su mesa.”

Amapola Café has opened a beer garden out back! It is open starting at 4pm on Thursdays and Fridays and all-day Saturday and Sunday, offering 12 different brands of beer as well as a new menu featuring pulled pork. Check it out! Hernández Macías 117
