VIP Club Newsflash December 2021

Your Club all-of-a-sudden has a slew of pertinent information to share! So it might be best to spoon feed the membership for the time being. This flash will be the first of three VIP newsflashes that will be sent out in succession over the next three weeks.

Each forthcoming flash will be chock with information! Please make sure to open them as we enter the new year 2022!

We want to first address some VIP Club issues. Every member joining or rejoining receives a VIP Club Welcome email Your Club points out the few rules. One of our participating establishments has gotten a fed up with wisenheimers grumbling about not getting the discount when paying for entertainment cover charges.  For 21 years entertainment cover charges have never been part of the discount. Stop it!

Many members are not aware of the over 100 local businesses that also offer strong discounts. “What else ya got?” is a section we will add on to flashes, some participating businesses widely known, others not often on the radar.

In our last flash, Your Club offered a handsome Madam Loo Chinese Astrology poster if any member could guess how many email flashes would be opened by subscribers in the first  24-hours. All flashes from our Mailchimp platform go out at 5:00 a.m. As a clue we send out 2000 and between 700 and 1000 are usually opened in that time frame.

Member, Kate Frank Cohen, came the closest with her guess of 985, with 964 opened in the first 24-hours. She won a Madam Loo poster (22″ X 29.5″) featuring her Chinese Astrology sign, The Rooster. Thanks to all who participated.

“Face-to-face bridge is alive and well in San Miguel at The Bridge Studio with ACBL-sanctioned games at the Hotel La Arcada on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons at 1:15 pm.  Players must show proof of full vaccination and wear a mask.  For more information about directions,  finding a partner, and much more, please go to the website, sanmiguelbridge.com.

Bordello Bridge, a more relaxed but still ACBL-sanctioned game, happens every Friday at 10:30 at the Casa de la Noche hotel on Órganos.

Here are the official VIP Club rates arranged with BajioGo.

VIP Club members pay $23 US cash to-or-from Leon or Queretaro for shared, door-to-door service for them and their party. BajioGo’s standard price is $30 USD each person. One added caveat including those cashing in coupons is directed at passengers as far out as Los Frailes and beyond, or those desiring being picked up beyond the municipal buildings glorietta on Ruta de Queretaro and those to be picked up or delivered beyond Candelaria, will be charged a $5 USD. or 100 peso surcharge.

Private service can be had in 9-passenger vans, and the cardholder and their party pay $89 USD, cash, rather than the standard $100 for them and their party of 1 – 9 passengers, with all going to the same address. Terms must be discussed when making reservations.

“Private service” to-or-from Mexico City is $250 USD. VIP cardholders pay $230, cash, same as the terms above.

*****VIP Club Cardholders with a minimum of two people, for them and their entire party pay just $65 USD. when regular price is $150 each for door-to-door service to-or-from Mexico City’s airport!*****

Members receive 10% discount on all other BajioGo services, (tours, transfers shared or private, events, workshops, car rental, vacation packages, etc. The discount can be attributed to incoming or outgoing family, friends and associates. (There is a ten dollar ferrying service charge, each way, if the car renter wants to be picked up by the rental or rental return. Cars must also be gassed up)
