This VIP Club Newsflash is being sponsored by THE RESTAURANT & BAR AT THE R, Sollano #16. Fourteen years ago Chef Donnie Masterton instigated the vanguard of what has become chef driven, San Miguel bellwether restaurants.
By employing fresh and organic ingredients, combining them with tried-and-true recipes along with Masterton’s magic and creative spin, THE RESTAURANT has kept the eatery atop the dining-out scene in San Miguel.
The management and staff of The Restaurant invites all to come out Saturday night as to celebrate this 14 year milestone.
(Any business or individual can sponsor a VIP Club Newsflash – read intently by over 2000 local subscribers, 2000 pesos.)
In this notice, Your Club desires to give additional ink to some of our most recent add-ons some may have missed. Yet beforehand Your Club wants to share a couple of feel-good stories.
One new member who recently purchased a home here inquired if a kitchen supply store might be affiliated with the Club? They had to outfit an entire kitchen. Your Club recommended BLIME KITCHEN SUPPLY, Calzada Estacion #157, that carries an array of home, restaurant, and industrial kitchen supplies.
Some hours later, the member stated he made a 10,000 peso purchase at Blime, but he forgot his card then asking us was there anything that could be done?
We contacted Isaac, who runs Blime, and don’t you know, Isaac at Blime offered the member a $999 peso credit on their next purchase. Horray for Isaac and Blime.
Another feel-good story about a participating VIP Club affiliated business involves, ESENCIA: Yoga-Spa-Retreat. Member, Louise Gilliam, purchased a massage at Esencia, Potrero #13, Col. San Antonio, and forgot an expensive piece of jewelry she removed prior to the massage. She concluded the next morning she must have left it at Esencia.
Louise promptly drove to Escencia hoping someone found the piece and turned it in. The housekeeper turned the left-behind item in at the front desk. “Not only was the massage wonderful,” said Louise, but the honesty of their employees should be noted. “I am beyond grateful!,” Louise.
