Overseas ballots should be arriving in email in-boxes on September 24th. There is still time to request your ballot, so don’t despair. Go to https://www.votefromabroad.org to request today. Your votes matter! In 2020, the margin of victory was less than 5% in 42 congressional races! So be ready to participate in these midterms.

The following states require you to mail your ballot back: Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

We ask voters not in the above states, to please give us a couple of weeks to assist these voters first, so they can get their ballots on their way back to the U.S. We will be open three days a week beginning on September 28th.

When you are ready to mail your ballot back, there a couple of options. You can take it to the consulate office in Plaza La Luciernaga on Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. We strongly suggest you do so by October 3rd! You may also utilize the private courier services her in San Miguel, but still plan on it taking a couple of weeks and plan accordingly.

Also – you are invited to attend our monthly Happy Hour, the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Trina Cantina, and/or monthly Coffee, the 3rd Thursday of the month at Geek & Coffee!

Consider taking advantage of the special rent-a-car deal, Exclusively for VIP Club Cardholders!

Cardholders are permitted to reserve five car-rentals and pay just $250 USD. cash or equivalent in pesos. The VIP Club/BajioGo deal includes insurance & taxes. The renter must have a San Miguel address; hotels and air B & Bs are not eligible. The principal renter must provide a legitimate drivers’ license and list anyone else in their party who might be also driving the car including their license.

Those renting are not required to rent the car for five consecutive days. They may rent one day at a time for 24 hours worth of rental.
